Iraq one year after: let's demonstrate

The unjust, illegal, aggressive and imperialist war on Iraq
brought hundreds of thousands of people out to participate in the
huge unprecedented demonstrations in more than 100 countries. In
these, the widespread opposition of the peoples to imperialism
and war was expressed in a multitude of ways, as was the need to
thwart the decisions of the United States and its allies, and
especially the threats of fresh attacks being made on the world's
peoples.

This war, covered by the "war against terrorism", clearly show
the real intention of imperialism to expand markets, win more
profits, dominate the natural resources as oil, control the most
important geo-strategic areas and eliminate any focus of
resistance of the peoples.

We demand the immediate end of occupation of Iraq and the
withdrawal of all foreign military forces from the country. We
denounce the external interference in Iraq and the attempts to
divide its territory. We believe that the Iraqi people have full
rights to fight against the foreign occupation. And we support
and respect the right of the Iraqi people to decide their own
future and destiny as an independent and sovereign country.

To increase the struggle against the imperialist war and
occupation of Iraq, for peace, freedom and social progress we
broadly call upon the mass organisations of working people and
farmers, youth and women, peace and solidarity and all the peace
lovers to rally, protest and demonstrate on March 20, 2004 (one
year after the invasion of Iraq), in every country and region of
the world, in front of US and England embassies and military
bases as well as in other places you find appropriate to express
our view and demands.

We believe that the peoples of the world constitute the only
superpower!
