Locking Australia into more wars

Without any public discussion Defence Minister Robert Hill is
expected to sign two new military agreements this week that will
lock Australia into the US Star Wars program, increase even
further the integration of US and Australian military forces and
establish a new joint US-Australian military base in Darwin or in
Queensland.

The agreements involve a massive financial commitment by
Australia and its participation in the US's aggressive program
for global domination.

The new base will not only be used for training purposes but to
"pre-position" weapons and troops for rapid deployment and use in
the region.

The establishment of this strategic base is a clear indication
that US and Australian Governments are preparing for aggression
against Asian countries. No country threatens the security of
Australia but the Howard and Bush Governments threaten other
countries.

Once again the Howard Government is blindly serving the interests
of the ultra-conservatives of the Bush Government and locking
future Australian governments into a course that will inevitably
lead to involvement in more wars.
