IWD celebrated in Sydney

Over 2,000 people attended IWD in Sydney. After speakers at Town Hall a march to Hyde Park north led by Indigenous women followed by followed by a troupe of drummers dressed in brightly coloured costumes. There was a rousing presence of different ethnic and work groups. Unions participating included the NSW Nurses Federation, Finance Sector Union and Public Sector Union. There was also a group of Korean workers in traditional clothes. There were also many young girls marching with their mothers, aunties and grandmothers.
