Inside the Convention Centre where the NSW Labor Conference was being held delegates voted against the power sell-off to the tune of 702-107. There were representatives of Your Rights at Work groups from all over the state. Unions represented included the AMWU, IEU, CPSA, FBEU, CPSU, APESMA, LHMU, CFMEU, USU, PSA, MUA, ASUN, SWNF, NSWTF. There were also a large number of political parties, including the CPA. Demands on t-shirts and placards included, "Stop theft of public assets — no privatisation", "Power sell-off — you will pay", "Public power, not private profit", "Will your job be next? Stop the sell-off", "Stop the sell-off — keep power and jobs in our hands", "Keep power and Sydney Ferries in our hands".
