CPA Maritime Bulletin

The Maritime Bulletin is produced by the Maritime Branch of the CPA and has been in existence in one form or another since 1935. It is distributed within the maritime industry. Its historical focus has been in Sydney but alternate forms of distribution have seen it’s distribution spread more widely.
The Bulletin was banned in the war years and through the anti-communist 1950s and became an illegal and seditious publication. The Bulletin has played a role in many historical workplace campaigns on the waterfront and has been written by many well known activists and leaders of the working class movement including; Tom Nelson, Stan Moran, Harry Black, Jack McPhillips and Jim Donovan.
